- The Associate Consultant ( AC ) is an important part of the team that handles the day to day operations. AC’s may handle a variety of functions including contact with external parties as well as all the internal processes in the organization. A culture of collaboration, willingness to learn and updating skills as necessary are an essential part of ensuring smooth operations. Good communication and writing skills that show clear thinking as well as some basic mathematical skills are required to perform well. Below is a summary of tasks that an AC may work on.
- Sourcing
- Sourcing products and services on requests from within the company and for customers or suppliers.
- Order Processing
- Receive PO’s from customers.
- Send PO’s to suppliers and keep track of the order until it’s delivered. Deal with any issues that arise along the way.
- If necessary, schedule production and delivery.
- Coordinate the shipping with inbound and outbound logistics, government inspectors, suppliers and customers.
- Prepare a pro forma invoice to customer if necessary.
- Prepare the final commercial invoice and all other paperwork on shipment day.
- Managing returns and credits to customers and from suppliers.
- Warehouse raw materials, semi finished goods, finished goods at the factory or in the field.
- AC’s in different time zones allows customer response in real time.
- Data Management
- Updating technology systems with new data.
- Learning new technological methods for greater productivity and time efficiency.
- Develop variety for more interesting work.
- Help mentor others.
- Communication
- Communicates and works with Customer Service Consultants to help them service customers in their local regions
- Daily communication with customers, suppliers and other AC’s as needed.
